School of Mission to present leadership workshop Feb. 10-11
"New Visions: Leadership for Mission" will be presented by the synod's School of Mission on Feb. 10-11 at Lutheran Camp Chrysalis. The event will assist leaders to create a missional culture within their communities and to raise up missional leaders. Click here to view the brochure.
Lutheran Men in Mission to gather at Port Aransas Feb. 17-18
The annual assembly of Lutheran Men in Mission in the Southwestern Texas Synod will be held Feb. 17-18 at Mustang Island Conference Center in Port Aransas. The assembly's theme will be Body, Mind & Spirit. The evening of Friday, Feb. 17 will include dinner and fellowship. Saturday, Feb. 18 will be a full day of fun and fellowship and some business.
Rooms at the conference center are $75. Assembly hosts are the Galilean, Corpus Christi Lutheran Men in Mission. For registration information contact Chris Swanson.
Highland Park, San Antonio to celebrate 90th anniversary
Highland Park, San Antonio will celebrate its 90th anniversary on Feb. 19 with a worship service of thanksgiving at 10 a.m. Former members, friends and the San Antonio community are invited to the service, which will be followed by a meal. Training event for congregational youth workers set for Feb. 25
"Caring for Youth," a day of training for all youth workers, will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Feb. 25 at First, San Marcos. The event is presented in partnership with Southwestern Texas Synod Youth Ministry Network and the South Texas and Austin chapters of Lutherans Concerned/North America. Worship conference to be held in San Antonio
